Why we are building myEdenry

Most gardening apps are either plant encyclopedias, generic watering-reminder timers, or AI chatbots bolted onto a plant database. None of them actually remember your garden - your specific pots, your specific soil, what happened the last time your basil looked stressed, or what the weather has actually done this week.

myEdenry started from one question: what would it take for an app to actually know a garden, well enough to tell you what needs attention today instead of reminding you on a fixed schedule? That means paying attention to what a plant is, how it’s growing, where it sits, what the weather has done, and what you’ve logged before, then being honest about uncertainty instead of pretending to have a perfect answer.

A small, early team

myEdenry is currently built and operated by a small team. We are launching a free Founding Beta on Android to learn what gardeners actually find useful before committing to a larger feature set or a paid plan. If you are using the beta, your feedback directly shapes what gets built next.

What we believe

• Check, don’t blindly water. Recommendations should prompt a quick check, not assume.
• Every recommendation should be explainable. If we can’t explain it, we shouldn’t show it.
• Uncertain AI output should look uncertain. Confidence is shown, never invented.
• Recording garden activity should be faster than writing a note by hand.
• Garden history is something you own and can export or delete at any time.
